How awesome is that, the honesty. A+.Yup. I have a Harbor Freight rifle case up there with my recovery gear in it (got some questions going into Canada...lol). I will say that it comes without any instructions and is a bit fiddly to build, but there is at least one decent youtube video that helps. Once it's installed it's stout.
Also, it took a few weeks b/c I'm pretty sure he builds to order but the owner seems like a good guy. Somehow the website charged me $75 more than it was supposed to and I didn't notice it. When he went to ship my order he noticed and proactively sent me an email calling out the mistake and refunded me the money without me saying anything.
A friend put in an Apache rifle case, easy mod, but I’d put in struts instead of cables to keep the lid from falling back. She used cheapie Strong-Tie knock offs to fasten the case to her Prinsu rack on her 4Runner.
On my truck I put a used Roam 83L up there. Came with Sherpa rack mounts, but still cost 2.5x as much as Harbor Freight best sale price…though it’s more bomb- (and dust/water) proof. My favorite shoes and jacket deserve it, lol.
