I’m gonna tell you what my service tech told me when we were chatting while he was updating my 12 inch instrument panel: everything in the engine bay he said is sealed that’s why on low pressure, you can clean your engine with a pressure washer. I picked up a lot of dirt while over landing last summer and this past fall. If the water level gets up to the bottom of the cooling fan that will interfere with your fan turning. Water inside under the backseat of hybrids will definitely cause a major problem. So depending on the height of your lifted suspension, you can figure out your water depth. It is not the same on every truck. The snorkel is not sealed, unless you have it sealed; water underneath a vehicle should not cause any damage as like the engine, the components in the rear and underneath are “theoretically“ sealed

I don't do much deep water crossings, but you would also have to take the diff breather into consideration, correct?
