Trailhunter with Decked Storage - Air Compressor Clearance

Hey guys!

Looking to put in a decked system into my Trailhunter long bed. To anyone running this setup, what did you do about your air compressor? Did you make modifications for it? Can you post up some pics?

Need some ideas on different options to get a clean install and still keep full functionality of the air compressor.

Absolutely do not follow the Decked instructions for the compressor. I did start to follow the instructions & pulled the compressor panel completely out, but was like, no way! Instead, I made a small U-shaped cut in the Decked top panel (for the hose to connect). Next I unscrewed & removed compressor control panel door & glued some strong magnets on the panel door & inside the panel (so the panel door stays in place even when on trails). Now, I have lots of storage space, the compressor works like a charm, & the truck bed looks great!

I have installed a cap on my Trailhunter's 6' bed. So, I removed the compressor access cover. I needed to do some minor grinding to remove some of the Decked underside ribbing... this allowed enough room for a 45 degree fitting on the airhose. I leave the hose connected under the deck.

I really like this, very clean looking. Does the port cover basically just pop off after the modification? Seems like it would be hard to pull off though, like it would be hard to grab a hold of unless i'm missing something.

No problems at all… Once you remove the left side cargo panel (which has to be opened/removed to plug in the air compressor hose), the panel just pops off. It will also pop off from underneath as well.
