This past weekend we ventured with our Tacoma TRD Off-Road into the foothills of Mount Rainier with a group of broncos for a little fun. This was the last outing before we upgrade the suspension.

Mods on our 2025 Tacoma TRD Off-Road
  • ARB Trailhunter Rack
  • DV8 winch
  • Addictive Desert Designs stealth steel bumper with underbody protection
  • RIGID 20-inch light bar
  • Trailhunter mid- and rear-diff guards.
  • Trailhunter rock rails
  • BFG KO3 33-inch E-Load A/T tires
  • Method wheels

Nice video and it looked like a fun adventure! I knew exactly where you were at as soon as you turned off the pavement onto gravel lol

I'm surprised MTS allowed for as much wheelspin as it did at this part:

You didn't get the violent hook-up that nuked the TFL trucks diff however.

Also, looks like that's the max wheel size/offset you can go without rubbing at full articulation.

Really doesn't take much with these trucks to get the rear wheel tucked up, even with the leafs. The box frame lets the suspension do a lot of work.

Thanks for posting Ryan! Didn’t know you were on here, I’m a big fan of the channel. Especially the Tacoma videos, as I’m running a similar spec minus the hybrid. Looking forward to see what you go with for suspension and any future mods

We have a set of ARB BP51's going onto the Taco next week. We'll have a video on it, probably the week after that.

Just had to mess with you man. Love the videos, especially the Pony Express trail from last week. The reviews are cool, but I’m really enjoying the destination / trail ride content.

I'm excited to see your thoughts on the BP51's and how they perform on our forest service roads. So many suspension reviews on Youtube focus on desert performance but that's not the terrain around western Washington.

I almost went with the Addictive Desert Design front winch bumper. What are you're experiences with it? Thanks!

It fits perfect and looks great. The only issue is that there is no way to reach the winch clutch or the wired plug-in from the underside (esp. since we have the skid plates). So the winch can only be operated with the wireless remote. This hasn't been an actual issue... but I would feel better with some more access.

I've been watching your videos on youtube. Thank you for the great content. I just purchased the new Warn winch bumper that just released due to the fact I want to be able to access the clutch. I was so close on the ADD bumper lol.

The production quality on your videos is incredible!

What’s the offset on those methods? Wondering what I can get away with when it’s time to swap my tires out.
