I’m just starting to investigate making this swap to a 2024 Limited. My truck is not a hybrid like the TRD Pro’s, will it (mid-pipe) fit or do I just go with a complete aftermarket setup?
So I can't speak 100%, but going the other way(having a Hybrid and trying to go aftermarket), all aftermarket exhausts seem to work on both with the exception of the Magnaflow models that have the extra resonator up front.

The Hybrid powertrain is a bit longer, so that extra resonator just gets in the way on Hybrids. Other than that, my understanding is everything is pretty much compatible exhaust wise between the two. Again, only my understanding for what its worth, as Ive been through 3 setups before I was happy lol.

Thanks for the input. If I may ask, what exhaust are you running now?

I am currently running the TRD tailpipe and mid-pipe. I am told it is different from both the tailpipe and mid-pipe that came on my TRD offroad premium, and different from the stock tailpipe and mid-pipe on a TRD Pro. What is different about them other than part number I can not speak on however lol. If you refer to this thread above though, I did reference the visual differences between the mid-pipes internally.

Thanks for posting this OP!

Anybody else run the center pipe on a non-pro? I found a like new set of center pipe / axle back at a really good deal, but really only want the tips unless the center pipe does something special lol

I haven't found anyone that's given a definitive answer to whether or not the center pipe is worth it. If you end up not wanting the center pipe, I'd buy it off you since I've been wanting to try it out but haven't wanted to drop the money for a new one.

Any chance you have the Pro’s center pipe part number?

I do not unfortunately. When I had the parts guy run the numbers, he just confirmed that the TRD offroad, TRD Pro, and stand-alone TRD part numbers were all different.

I just installed the TRD Center Pipe PT226-35240 along with the axle dump shorty

Overall, you can hear the engine now. I thought the exhaust was silent before. Now I can hear it if the radio is off. Radio on, I cant still. I suspect when I put on some AT or RT tires, that will be louder than this.

No drone though. However, when slowing down or coasting from maybe 15 to 0 essentially, I can hear it in the cab. Just a low tone, not super loud but you do notice it. It doesnt do it when stopped an idling, just slowing down. Must be something with the engine braking

Its ok though. Its not overly loud, my TRD exhuast on my 2nd gen Taco was much louder, as was my 5th gen 4runner.

Id buy it again, but dont expect a huge difference. Dont pay full price

Bold move combining the two.
The tone of that axle dump was like nails on a chalk board to my half deaf ears. I love the TRD twin tailpipe though.
Glad you dig it man! 🤘

Valid point, I think you are correct. Tone from the axle dump, maybe some increased volume from pipe.

it’s still pretty quiet though. Nothing like the prior TRD exhausts that droned!
