Those of you that have one of these (or maybe have had both at some time or another!), what do you feel are the advantages of disadvantages. I like both but was looking for some more real world opinions. I don't off-road super hard, but I do go to my camp and travel log roads that are pretty bad. I have a TRD OR.

I've got the Trailhunter and can say it's built like a beast. I was going to cut a hole to access my Fumoto valve, but the steel is hardened. The plate is embossed, so it'll be hard to damage.

It's not hard to take off with a creeper (and ramps) since it has two slotted holes. You can lower it onto your chest and slide out. Easy peasy.

Any thoughts on what the black plastic piece is at the front of the skid plate. I just put my trailhunter skid on and the plastic bit doesn't make sense to me.
