These were provided to me as part of a promotion in exchange for a review (there is a thread here by another forum member sharing his experience about that promotional process). My honest opinion about these side steps is: I would likely not buy them for my truck with my own money.
I do not usually like side steps, but these are somewhat low profile and sleek looking, so for the price of a little bit of my time I was willing to put them on my truck. They do look nice and seem sturdy once installed, but imo install is overly complicated for side steps and overall quality is a concern.
To me there's no reason the brackets can't come pre welded to the steps or arrive installed like other side steps on the market, but they're not, you have to piece them together with bolts and washers. It's easy enough, but unnecessary and the instructions are lacking.
The biggest drawback: The hardware is low quality. One of the brackets was not flush and I stripped the threads on 3 of the underside step bolts by simply tightening the steps to the brackets at very low torque. I had to add loctite and stack some spare locking nuts I had in the garage to make sure the steps were secure. Judging by the quality of the included hardware I'd put money on it rusting quickly as well.
Had I purchased these myself I would have likely taken them off and returned them simply due to the low quality hardware. Aesthetically though they are some of the nicer looking side steps out there. They feel sturdy when stepping up on them and my family will appreciate the convenience until I decide on some sliders that double as steps.
