When I was looking at bed stiffeners I looked at all the options, name brand gucci options, & alot of them over the top money.....

Don't think im missing anything by pulling the trigger on the @TRUMGETA brand, very solid piece & 100% solid choice in my book.

The Trumgeta bed stiffener is a solid piece of hardware, literally. Was truly blown away how solid & thick the pieces were compared to what youre getting from a much higher cost from the other gucci options...

I wouldnt sleep on these if you wanted some bed stiffeners for your new gen....
The steel is thick and heavy-duty, new & improved hardware is robust & great quality from what I can tell.

Powdercoating looks solid, no sharp edges at all,

Very easy to install, with multiple options.

I really think it would look better, more flashy if the second trim piece was bolted to the backside of the main bracket. There would be more depth & lines that way, more bling bling flashy.... It was hard to keep myself from mounting it that way, but I may change it.

All the added accessories are also useful, the cargo net & ratchet strap....

I know sometimes you get what you pay for, in this case at their price point its a solid choice!

Were there bolts supposed to go in the three holes on the backside of that bracket?

From the ad copy on Amazon (for a product that's not Trumgeta branded as such but seemingly is what OP purchased since it has his product review there as well...):
  • INSTALLATION - The bed channel stiffener can be installed using the 4 original holes of the Tacoma bed, but drilling 3 more holes on the side of bed will make the bracket more stable.
I bought the Cali Raised bed stiffeners and am perfectly happy with them. They're even cheaper than these right now and are shockingly heavy gauge steel. You do have to drill holes to mount them but they also don't interfere with bed caps and whatnot like these might. Everything is a trade-off...

I will admit the bottle opener is a nifty little feature but I can't remember the last time I actually needed one. I only buy cans... :ROFLMAO:
