[UPDATE] TRD Pro Rear Bumper (Hybrid) vs Non-Hybrid Rear Bumper

C4 got back to me - they redesigned the bumper to work with the Hybrid. They are updating their website.

So recently I ordered a full C4 armor kit from C4 Fabrication. I got:
1. TACOMA FRONT LO-PRO WINCH BUMPER / 4TH GEN / 2024-2025
2. TACOMA ROCK SLIDERS / 4TH GEN / 2024-2025
3. TACOMA OVERLAND REAR BUMPER / 4TH GEN / 2024-2025

Here is my issue. I’m an idiot and didn’t read the “fitment” section on the rear bumper. They (C4) note it’s not compatible with the hybrid model — which I have. (2025 TRD Pro). I don’t blame them at all - this is on me for not doing my due diligence in reading through and just assumed.

I can’t find anything online that talks about the difference in the bumpers (non-hybrid vs hybrid). I’ve reached out to C4 to see why it won’t work. I’m hoping it’s something small like a harness or sensor I’ll have to work around. Returning it is likely out of the question. It ships LTL and has a restocking fee.

Does anyone have any insights into what’s different and maybe why this won’t work?

I want to note: C4 packages are extremely well done. Double palette, lots of wrapping and everything arrived in solid condition.

It’s not that I don’t like it. I like the C4 more and that’s why I’m replacing it.
