Not uptop at least. I quote
“While we have updated our procedures to prevent corrosion, you will also need to evaluate your surroundings and apply any added steps needed to prevent corrosion from forming.”

I sent it to them and never heard back. I think they just don’t care. I even explained my powder coater down here uses phosphate steam to clean metals of rust and prevent rust from forming.Oh man… I wonder what Mike from LLOD would say. Maybe he hasn’t seen this or doesn’t care.
Man, I’m sorry to hear that. That’s super annoying.I sent it to them and never heard back. I think they just don’t care. I even explained my powder coater down here uses phosphate steam to clean metals of rust and prevent rust from forming.
After all said and done, I’ll let it ride till I can’t. Then either get it powder coated right or scrap it.
My rack is fine, but there's a huge caveat. I uninstalled the rack from my truck after our camping trip so that I can keep using automated car washes. The good news is removal (and I'm assuming reinstallation) is really fast. I just marked the arm locations with some black tape on my Retrax for next time. How did it turn out ?? I’m thinking of buying the diamondback compatible mid height bed rack truss
I thought their stuff was aluminumFirst and foremost I would like to state this is just my personal experience. I have met the guys at UpTop and they seem like really great guys, but their products are lacking in quality which I’m sure they’ll get better with time.
I purchased the Kilo roof rack, handles, scene lights, mid bed rack with small accessories.
I had a few shipping issues with damaged products which they were more than happy to replace.
They seem to have a cookie cutter type process where one fits all. I ran into issues with this with my 24 Tacoma TRD pro. The bed rack didn’t fit quite right. I sent photos and all hoping for some help, but they really didn’t have an answer. I was maxed out on my bed cargo rails for their mounts. I took a trip to Colorado and met with them to show them my issues. They sold me more parts to maybe mitigate the bed and ikamper mini 3 issues. After getting home I found their solution didn’t match up. I contacted them to get a reply of it fit on other models. Ended up having to cut the side rails, drill various holes in a premade product that was supposed to to fit. Along with getting parts reloaded coated.
Then came the rust. They put part numbers into their pieces. Makes sense for quick packing and replacement ordering. They don’t etch them, they cut them all the way through. Then they don’t get powder coated correctly and the inside of the iron rust. So many of my part numbers are dripping rust on a $70,000 dollar truck.
This is just a warning to anyone who is thinking about going with their products. Please be aware of quality control issues and contact them prior to ordering to make sure they have been addressed.
