I have two issues with this type of winch bumper. First, you can't see the spool. Anybody who has used a winch knows the line can bunch up on one side during a pull. Especially during an off-angle pull.
Second, the winch control box is inaccessible. A provision will need to be made so the winch can be controlled. Some folks use a battery powered remote. Others remote install the solenoid box under the hood. I installed the control box extension and mounted it to the front of the bumper.
There is a third issue, but it's easily resolved. Access to the clutch handle. The solution is to clock the gear box handle to point toward the opening in the bumper.
My C4 bumper.
Remote control plug mounted to the front of the bumper. My control pack didn't allow me to move it under the hood without purchasing a new box and the relocation kit.
Clocked clutch handle for easy access.
