I've never bought new tires to replace.. well new tires. I got a quote from my local discount tire.. for my OEM tires on my ORP, they are saying they'll give me $50 a tire, BFG Trail Terrain 265/70-17. These retail for just over $200ish and they said I probably would get more if I tried to sell it privately.. so I'm just curious on what others are doing.. are you trading them in or are you selling them privately, and if so how much?

Dealer where I picked up my allocation from bought my 265/65 R18's for $400 when I swapped the tires out for 265/70 R18 BFG KO2's.

On my old 2010 SR5, dealer gave $250 for the 245/75 R16's when I swapped them out for 265/75 R16 BFG KO's

How do the 265/75 R16 BFG KO's fit, any poke? Looking to get KO2's, I've heard great things

Keep in mind the BFGs that come on the Tacoma aren't exactly the same spec as the retail Trail Terrain. The retail TT is 3PMS snow rated and the OE TT is not. I suspect it has fewer plies compared to the retail as well, but not sure if that has been confirmed.

If you are getting a quote of $200 for the set I would 100% pass and list on marketplace. I bet you get what @TRD _Rob got ($500) or pretty close. I would think you'll be able to get at least $100/tire. I'm guessing those tires are probably $175 - $200 new (without checking) so that's still a healthy discount for anyone looking for that size.
