I know Pennsylvania has some rather crappy laws when it comes to tire poke. I have a new 2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. I want to replace the stock wheels and tires, but at the same time don't want to jump through hopes to get my Taco inspected every year. I really like the "Arena Hustle wheels". I am thinking of getting the 17x8.5 (with +25mm offset) and a set of BFGs (LT 275/70R17).. Anyone run something similar, in PA without any issues.

I run the same offset and width here in PA, but with 285/75/17. That being said, my truck hasn't needed an inspection since I put on the wheels/tires, but I can see zero issue with them preventing it from passing inspection.

However, you will want to get some different/aftermarket mud-flaps/splash guards. I am running the RokBlokz and I am happy with them.

Are you all serious? You have a law saying you can’t have any poke?
Very much so..

In Pennsylvania, "wheel poke" occurs when a tire extends beyond the vehicle's bodyline, which is illegal and an inspection failure. The Pennsylvania Code requires that all vehicles have fenders that cover the entire width of the tires in contact with the road, and tires cannot extend beyond the bodyline or wheel housing. Fender flares are permitted but cannot exceed 3 inches in width.

Law must be for protecting windshields behind you from being hit with rocks from tire poke?

I’m sure that’s one of the reasons but damn, that’s getting kind of nanny state really. Everyone has to have insurance to drive nowadays. Most insurance covers windshield repair/replacement. If not get the tag number from guy who flung rock his insurance will cover.
