happy with everything. 14“ display creaking is something I need to address. Sounds like a bowl of rice crispies on rougher roads.

2 years and 30k miles in and I love this truck. This is the 15th vehicle I've had and the first one I've wanted to keep forever. I've enjoyed the:

- Power (non-hybrid) has been great for my use case
- Efficiency (20mpg average) seems plenty fair for a truck, especially the way I have it set up now
- Off-road capability on sand, snow, and in the mountains. I just air down a little bit and it has never left me stranded.
-Reliability, obviously the jury is still out on this one but I haven't experienced a single issue with this truck so far, which for an early production model of a new gen vehicle is a win.

I agree with others about the fuel tank size, but it's easily remedied with some jerry cans, albeit not as convenient as just having a larger tank. I've never come close to running out of gas out in the woods though, just have to plan ahead.
Only the dog uses the backseat right now so limited space isn't a big deal right now. Once we have kids back there we'll see how the story changes.

Toyota got pretty much everything right on this one in my opinion!

Purchased my 2024 in February of 2024, probably was one of the very first in California as we were late to receive them here and have traveled 27k trouble free miles in it mostly commenting using the excellent dynamic cruise control exclusively for my tough California commute. The cruise control has made my 70-mile round trip much easier with just the locational tug on the wheel to let it know I am still there. My only complaints would be the ~19mpg, small tank and several recalls.
Sorry to revive this old post, but I've read about unexpected rear brake pad wear on the 4th gens. Some believe it might be caused by the dynamic cruise control using the rear brakes more than the front to "keep things smooth" when adjusting speed. Since you seem to have many miles with this function, what are you seeing in terms of pad wear on the rear?

I'm around 28k miles and use my truck in heavy stop and go commute with cruise that make the drive so much easier on me while effecting my MPG. I notice that I get much better MPG at the same speed when there's no traffic. If someone knows what the pad width should be on the rear, I can pull the pads on one side in the rear and measure them. I don't doubt your assumpiton at all.

I am 2 years now, 21k miles.

Only issue was the 6-speed gearbox had to be replaced at 14,500k at Toyota expense.

Typical Toyota the 24 has been but with more power and better looks. It's nice to have the 9.5" with 4.30:1 that comes with the manual gearbox version.

No real complaints but the 5-foot box, but that is what I chose. Toyota does not offer access cab version for TRD Sport with 6-speed manual.

Love
- Looks
- Off road use/articulation. Always finds traction.
- Acceleration. So easy to pass on the HWY.

Hate
- Fuel range (still can't get over how bad this is and how often I fill up the tiny tank)
- Dash rattle/creaking, especially the glove box. It just won't stop.
- Paint is trash. Rock chips everywhere, even with PPF. Looks like a 5 year old truck.
