The time has come to replace wipers. Not concerned about snow this time of year, just rain. I am not happy with the OEM wipers, the passenger side wiper has streaked since the day I got the truck. Do any of you have a recommendation based on something you are using?

The foreign auto repair shop in my area replaces just the rubber contacting the glass first, before replacing the whole wiper set up. The piece(s) is make and model specific but cheap and really functional. You might consider looking into that as long as the other hardware is functional; it has worked for me at $10 a pop rather than $40-$50 that lasts the same time.

I think toyota moved away from the replaceable rubber pieces years ago

You might be right, but the shop just did our '23 Camry last fall..... And they did my '19 Gen 3 Taco shortly before I traded it a year ago or so. I haven't checked on the '24 so he might not want to waste his time. :)

Thank you for the info, I used to replace just the rubber on my Gen3 not sure if that is available for Gen4.

Yes factory wipers are terrible. My wife’s new 2025 k5 I drive that now bc the wipers look. I’m curious what you go with and if they workout I’ll get them for the tacoma

I've used PIAA Silicone wipers on my other cars, they are pricey but will last much longer than anything else you can buy at the store. You can usually get a year or two out of them depending on where you store your truck at(Garage or Outside). I'm currently using Rain-X Slicone blades on my other cars to see how long those last before going back to PIAA. You can get them on Amazon BTW.

I was going to ask about the factory wipers as I drove in the rain for the first time earlier this week and have to say I was not impressed as they seemed to chatter a little bit which my other ones have never done.

I second Mightyquinn: silicone is the ultimate, from what I've seen. I got no-name silicone blades on Amazon several years ago for my Subaru and they outlasted the car. $10 or $20 for two, as I recall. I had the Subie in both Massachusetts and Texas, so I think great in all conditions. But if you can get just the inserts for cheap, go for it.

I ordered a set from Tacoma Lifestyle. They had good reviews and a good price. I’ll post a review here after trying them a bit.
