Just installed skid plates and sliders on my 2026 OR. A mix of Cali-Raised, Miller Cat, RCI and Westcott. ALL are beautifully done and had perfect fitment. TIG welding on the Westcott sliders is SUPERB- but for some reason my wife just didn’t ‘get it’ and couldn’t comprehend my enthusiasm……. Go figure.

Fuel tank skid looks like Cali-raised curious as to why not the rear control arm front skid Cali-Raised instead of MCX. I can see the rear lower shock is Cali-Raised.

In liked the fact that Miller Cat’s was stainless- when I put together my ‘wish list’ not all pieces were available from all sources…. Miller Cat now offers a bit more for the 4h gen…..

Also: stopped by Cali-Raised facility in Ft Worth just after Christmas…. One of the cofounders took 45” to show me around the production facilities. Wanted to give them some business.

Completely different thread: But am putting “Big Brakes” on my Sprinter van ((9400#). The FOUNDER of Powerbrake responded to a question I had and sent me his personal cell number to call if I had any further questions. Quess who got my business……

Customer service MATTERS!

My wife would not be for all of that but wants me to get something to aid loading the roof rack.

I'm not an actual 4x4 hobbyist but am off road a lot in a trail builder, ski area crew and bike park steward role. I wonder if that part that sticks out might be an issue. Running boards on a loaner 4Runner seemed good but wider than needed.

I'll pursue more on yours later.

Thank you.

Given your offroad activities I think you’d find the sliders with or without the kick out good protection for your rocker panels from small boulders and trees. Some manufacturers offer then without the kick out (Cali-Raised), and some with a kick out that doesn’t protrude too far (C4 Fabrication). Although some sliders may seem to stick out a bit, they provide solid footing for roof access - too narrow and you risk slipping off …….
