Light Bar Install

So, I did a thing. Finally got the light bar I've been wanting to complete (for now) my setup. I ordered this light bar from Amazon. I thought about going w/the CaliRaised version but it was a bit too long for my roof rack. Install was mostly straightforward. I am going to be using the dual OEM Square switch from CaliRaised LED but for now I'm using the switch that came w/the light bar. The toughest part of the install was getting through the firewall. I ended up going around the rubber grommet as suggested in a video i saw online. Once I did that, the rest of the install was a breeze. I spliced the wires coming from the light bar with a 16 gauge 3 wire setup so I could run the wire from the light bar, behind the light bar and down the pillar of the driver side. Other than that, the rest was pretty much plug and play once I understood how to wire everything up.

Why would you not run it through one of the Aux switches? Or are all 3 already in use?

My brother asked me the same thing! lol. So, CaliRaised LED has a cool dual switch that shows both white and amber lights. I thought about using 2 switches to go straight to the aux switches, but I liked the way this looked better. Probably a bit "diva" on my part

That switch has a backlighting wire. Anyone know which wire I can splice into on the other switches so it lights up when I turn on my headlights?

You want this or some variant of it based on another switch, he's also made some custom jumpers for me so I could tap into Aux only power from the 120v inverter switch. I highly recommend Bob, he was very helpful.

They're actually Feniex amber strobes, I just have them set in a steady on pattern. In that picture they were only in 50% brightness

Love that - looks like they belong there. How did you wire them up/was it difficult? Did you utilize the aux switches? I ordered some 'fang' lights a while back but never installed them.. they look cheesy. Also, 35s? Beautiful truck. Wheel offset is perfect!

I have them wired to turn on when the engine is on via addafuse as I didnt want to use an AUX switch just for it.

As far as difficulty, it wasnt difficult, it was more time consuming. I originally ordered from amazon some snap on raptor lights for 2024+ Tacoma TRD Pro and Trailhunter grills but I didnt like that they weren't bright even with all the LEDs in them. So I cut out the amazon lights from their snap on mounting plates and made the holes bigger to fit the Feniex strobes. I just connected them to the wiring that came with the amazon raptor lights.

Wheels and tires. 35x12.5x17 Toyo Open Country AT3s and 17x9 +18 KMC Impacts. No cutting / trimming needed as they never rub. Just the plate delete.

As for the fang lights, I agree they looked a bit cheesy for me. Im waiting for AlphaRex to release their version of fang lights which I think looks simpler and better. I attached a picture of what itd look like (edited by me lol)
