The Falkens in 285/75/17 are actually 34.1” which is a badass size as it’s true to size and not something less - the Toyo 34x10.5 are actually 33.5” — only question is fitment
The 285/70/17 size is solid and comes in SL and C in Baja Boss and Falken - but like you I would like something taller. If I could fit a 285/75 I might try that - I think Toyo OC at3 comes in the size you are seeking
That’s my style too. Go until you need to use an off-road feature. I use my locker on a somewhat regular basis. The use case for me is almost always a steep grade on a trail or property with loose rock where 4LO alone isn’t getting the job done because of uneven torque distribution. The...
Lol. Mine makes a weird clunking/dong sound after I turn it off. Not sure what it is. The sounds are just entertainment at this point. Not super concerned.
I feel like I’ve heard that sound from my truck but maybe not as consistently. It’s a noisy fucking engine with a variety of notes. Tagging a fellow member who has had some odd noises as well.

I got the Blaze 10s in bronze. 22 pounds. I’m super happy with my decision and if I want to experiment with wheels and tires, I’m gonna do it. Life is short. Shouldn’t bother anyone what I do.
Unfortunately. I’m going to stop responding. I really like this forum and would like to keep it cool. It baffles my mind that someone would get upset that some other person bought wheels or tires.
Agreed on all 3 points. 1) 75s will probably rub, 2) Baja boss are lightest at 48 pounds and 3) E rated sucks (I have them now — stiff).
My question is why are the falken SL so much heavier than the baja boss (53.3 vs 48 pounds). The Baja boss has deeper treads (18.5/32 versus 14/32). The...
I thought the full ARB bed rack kit comes with stiffeners - the trailhunter display model at SEMA or one of those shows had stiffeners on the truck with the full rack and RTT
I just ordered some Blaze 10 bronze SCS wheels in 17x8.5 +20 for my Trailhunter. I like the 17” tire options better than the 18” options. I’m down to 3 tires:
285/70/17 Falken AT4 - 32.8 to 33” depending on load range (SL or C)
285/70/17 Baja Boss - 32.8” to 33” depending on load range (SL or...
This is helpful thanks. Can anyone find the roof strength test ratings or know when they will be conducted? On the third gen the roof could take 4.13X the weight of the truck and it was considered good. Given this truck is heavier the roof would need to be even stronger to have the same...
