    It's doable as a DIY project using rolls of 3M PPF available on Amazon. I did the same on my (then new) 2016, and it looked as good as the day I installed it when I traded it in last August. There are plenty of good YouTube videos on how to apply it.

    You should be able to see it on the dealer's website. Toyota posts the truck there as soon as it's built.

    Here's a shot of the mirror with the SmartCap. You lose about 20%. You need to adjust the settings in the mirror.

    My guess is that it has an alternator and a small 12-volt battery to run the 12-volt system.
