Only orange trucks can reply to this thread….
  2. 1013 Miles in, first oil change completed

The service manager doesn’t have to pay if your engine fails early. In fact, it’s his business to profit from failures. Toyota literally doesn’t have an interest in what occurs outside of their warranty period because you will either pay for repairs or, if significant costs and vehicle age are...

Bacon and beef jerky would have been a good move…
  4. New Member in the Panhandle

    Congrats and enjoy.
  5. 1013 Miles in, first oil change completed

Just over 1k miles and I had the oil changed for the first time. Dang, that filter is tiny. Glad to have it done and the break in period completed. Now I can drive up to 65, lol. I saw a nice 4R while I was at the dealer.
  6. Happy birthday to me

    Very nice. Congrats
  7. Possible Engine Failure in 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport

I recommend you sit tight and see how things work out. Document everything along the way. No surprise that an initial inspection of a barely broken in truck shows some metal debris because it’s to be expected in your first couple of oil changes as the engine breaks in. The tech who cried...

Welcome WV Mike. Glad you’re here and look forward to sharing your journey with your taco. Enjoy it in good health.
  9. Metal flakes in oil

At 900 miles. Calling to make appt for oil and filter change at 1k. Will do again at 5k and every 5 k afterwards. this is how I break in every new vehicle. I also am disciplined to drive no faster than 55 until that first oil change is complete.
  10. OEM TRD Off Road Tail Pipe and emissions

It’s just a different tailpipe. It’s not going to affect your emissions, which is controlled by your catalytic converter.
  11. TSB: Hybrid Tacoma Now Included in Transmission Failure Issues & Replacement (October 2024)

Sorry for your situation, definitely want to take photos of codes if they are thrown visibly. Hope it works out and T will take care of you no matter what so don’t worry. Dealers often are oblivious and get the details and process wrong. Hang tight and it’ll work out. I just put my f350 in for...
  12. Things that should be standard no-brainer things Toyota didn't do for all Trim levels

I’ve had more than my fair share of new vehicles. I think, for me, it’s just a thing. I do keep all my vehicles neat, clean, and new looking, so it fits my sensibilities.
  13. Things that should be standard no-brainer things Toyota didn't do for all Trim levels

It’s not like I havent’ noticed that, in fact, I choose to leave it in place In the same way i leave the winshield registration sticker on too. I was actually bummed that they peeled the drivers data notice sticker and the screen protector off the infotainment screen. I can peel those stickers...
  14. Just found the solution to the front bias JBL sound system

I’m not necessarily impressed, but it’s objectively much better with sound distribution and fullness than factory settings. Ymmv.
  15. Anyone try rhino voll wheels?

Ok, so lighter wheels means you can run larger, heavier, more durable tires. If you decide not to, is there a mpg benefit?
  16. New member/owner

Nice upgrade Chase. Enjoy and dig the Mass Effect avatar.
  17. Just found the solution to the front bias JBL sound system

I think we all agree the JBL is crap. It’s kinda the crappiest crap that ever crapped when it comes to “premium” audio. The solutions so far was to add that small amp for more “Powah!!!”. I was adjusting the system today and I think I found a good enough compromise for correcting the front...
