@TacoFreak - can you take a picture of how close your tire gets to the flap at full lock with the OEM tires? My tires are barely larger than yours. Maybe the added width is what makes it rub?
I never got an alignment done. But the candian flaps no doubt protrude into the wheel well quite a bit. I could probably move my castor forward but I’m not messing with that. Truck drives perfect. I’ve got PPF. I’ll live with it until I find the right aftermarket solution.
should I keep...
It’s all in the spirit of experimentation - ifs fine. I may put the back ones on. I’m just worried my alignment is off because I think others with 285/70/17s run these flaps but I’m not entirely sure.
Yeah. I mean my tires aren’t huge and barely a larger diameter than OEM. The Canadian flaps come half an inch or more. I won’t ever be going smaller than 33” so it’s either high clearance aftermarket flaps or these US OEMS.
Holy cow - my Canadians came in and they rub like crazy up front and I’ve gotta go back to the US turd flaps - running 33” Falkens — did not realize thr Canadians had a large protrusion
I’ve been listening more carefully. I hear two distinct sounds. One is an orb type UFO sound that comes on when it’s in electric mode the other sounds like the electric motor itself.
