Not sure about power as I don’t goose it that often but without a doubt more gas mileage - like 2mpg or so - the 91 octane is able to push 60 pound tires nicely
Taller? I thought both were 32.6”
I’m on my ranch now and while I don’t like the ride quality of the LT AT4Ws, they are fucking beasts off-road .. jagged rocks, aggressive grades, the tires don’t give a crap. Super tough. And aired down they ride nice. I am trying to sort out whether...
So, Discount Tire very generously gave me until the end of January to swap my tires. I have tons of time to figure out what’s best for me. But for whatever reason these Falkens ride hard. And I know I’m in the minority there, but I have a hunch the Grabbers will be better for me. I’ll have a...
This is the most fancy toyota truck ever made. It’s just bright when I’m driving in super dark areas. I may fashion some kind of cover that I can open and close.
I also run 33s - heavy fuckers in 275/70/18 — truck has always liked 91 more than 87 and now the difference with the tires is even greater - more power and better MPG on 91
Anyone try this tire configuration on their rig? If so, can you post pictures? I've got the Falkens in LT275/70/18 and they are amazing in every way except they ride hard and considering moving to an SL, but hesitant to lose the extra ground clearance I've gained with the taller tires (33.43"...
For standard load it’s really annoying and I tell them to punch it in at the door panel placard. It likely has to do with the Bridgestone / Ford rollover litigation from the 90s when pressures were often down in the mid 20s causing sidewall deflection and blowouts. So now everyone just does...
Anyone try the General Grabber ATX in 4 ply, 275/70/18? I agree with the comments here on leaning toward 4-ply. I've got the 10-ply Falkens and they ride rougher than I like.. although nobody seems to think that other than me.
