I don’t have OP’s same issues but I’m also looking to improve ride quality. I went from the stock 265/70/18 SL wranglers (32.6”, 40lb) to Falken AT4Ws in LT275/70/18 E (33.4”, 60lb). It now rides a lot rougher.

The AT4W also comes in a 285/60/18 I think that’s about that same diameter - tons of options under 33”.
So I went through this exercise and went with LT 275/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws. Amazing all around, but ride a little hard as they are E loads. But I want more diameter and sidewall. Hard to get over 33” unless you go LT (most non-LT cap out at 32.6” and to me that’s significantly smaller...
Tires make an enormous difference. Nitto makes a few SL options, so does General and a few others. The Mickey Thompsons in SL also look good. But why can’t they be bigger!
Both are great but not sure I want tires that wide. My 275s are already super wide.
