I'll find out tomorrow I hope. Wondering if everything they may have taken apart isn't back together properly or just disconnecting stuff might have triggered all these alerts and the just need a reset. I'll let them figure that out!
Oh boy, just had the truck at the dealer for what ended up being a short in the ds bed scene light rail. Finding that had half the truck apart tracing the issue over 1 1/2 days.
This morning all these vehicle alerts popped up. They are dated from the service time but just appeared this morning.
Yep, those little plastic clips inside the cover are lame as can be. They are designed to clip onto little balls on top of the 3 bolts. They don't do a good job.
I did go out last night after dark and the bed scene lights, on the passenger side for now, are nice. A bed cap, if it covers the entire bed rail, would block these lights. They were standard on the Trailhunter. IIRC, a $575 extra otherwise.
For those of you that may wash your own trucks, I found a VERY POOR design on the lower cover of the Tr snorkel/desert air intake. The intake itself is bolted to the truck with 3 bolts. The plastic cover has 3 cheap plastic snaps that are supposed to snap on top of rounded ball tops on the...
I refused all the dealer aftermarket junk and as the truck was in transit, I was fine. Issue with the lights ended up being a short in the driver side bed rail with the bed scene lights. It took them all out. Tracing that was not easy per my local dealer. That bed rail is one piece and a new...
Ok, semi conclusion. The driver side bed scene rail has a short and it was taking out both rails and all the cargo and interior bed lights. A new ds bed rail with the bed scene lights is on order. They've just left the ds unplugged for now and all the other lights work. I can't imagine the...
I do have both an ebike and road bike that do just great. Haven't 'needed' the truck. BTW, I do prefer the road bike. 34 miles this morning. They did offer a rental, but I didn't need it, so I declined.
Looks like the bottom of the rear seat is some of that. My bike rack is there too! I just ride my road bike home for some exercise. It's only 13 miles.
Ok, not sure of the part back in the bed, but it had a loose wire and needs replacing. Of course being brand new production, the part is on backorder. They've patched it up and the lights are working. Now they have to put it all back together until the part arrives the
take it apart again...
Well, the news isn't good so far. Alternator relay and all the fuses are good so there's power. It's just not getting back to the cargo, bed and bed scene lights! They are tracing wires now and keeping the truck for a second day.
I've checked the light bar and fog lights. They both work and fogs do change color. Dumb that you have to have your high beams on for the light bar to work. Real dumb. Fogs the running lights or low beams must be on.
Thanks for checking. My cargo light at the top of the roofline, lights in the bed and the bed scene lights do not come on when I have that cargo light button in either the door or On mode.
No mention at all about the bed scene lighting. Reviews I've watched about the Trailhunter show them on when the cargo light and interior bed lights are on. The interior bed lamps are mentioned in the owners manual.
Absolutely! Owners manual did point me to two more fuse panels. One behind a plastic panel below the glove box and another under the right rear seat. I don't want to bust the plastic clips molded in the plastic panel a d question whether the fuse panel under the rear seat is applicable to...
I've posted on Facebook group, but I'm one. Haven't read about any other bed scene issues. Shoot, I didn't know they were standard on the Trailhunter! I know we didn't turn them on before I left the dealership.
Got mine in Socal June 18. Only issue so far is the cargo bay light, interior bed lamps and the exterior 'bed scene' lights aren't working. Dealer appointment coming Thursday.
