Yeah - I forgot about the off white inserts. I have never had any light colored cloth seats, which would be easy to stain, so I would definitely recommend treating them with scotch guard.
Toyota cloth seats are legendary for being comfortable to sit on, and nearly indestructible. When people sell older Toyota 4x4s online the trucks with leather interiors are usually a mess. The trucks with cloth seats always have seats that look like new, even in trucks that have not been babied...
Yeah on my truck there is a DRL Off position on the stalk. Probably an oversight by our government minders. It looks like Canada has you boys under better control.
My Pro was getting between 14 and 17 mpg consistently, and the average never went above 17 mpg, even with only reasonable speeds on the freeway.
Now two things have changed, so it is hard to be sure why, but my mileage has improved a lot.
My truck of course has more miles, but just 1,500...
That is it exactly - the enhanced, throaty, lower tones of a larger engine make all the difference, at least to me.
I also agree that it would be cool to have an easier way to change it. Maybe off in Normal and Eco, and on in Sport?
Have you tried turning it off yet? I turned my fake engine noise off, thinking I might like driving my truck better without it. It did lower the sound level a little, but the sound was pretty nasty without any enhancement. Kind of rough and gutless IMO.
In the Tundra they add the sound to make...
You really have a good number of miles left when the truck says you are done. I still want a bigger tank though. The best for my truck so far is only 21 mpg.
My guess is that the climate upgrades are being used to push people into higher priced trims, although none of them have any rear seat ventilation, let alone independant controls.
That center speaker is even worse IMO because it is part of an upgrade, which does not come with a simple control...
Yeah - the memory seats were a big let down for me too. Now the 4Runner is coming with them on some trims, and I am even more confused about why they were not included. The lack of rain sensing wipers is another mystery to me, since my truck has the tech to monitor me endlessly, but is missing...
I think it depends on the source of the buzz. I have not seen many people post about this, so it might be something on just your truck that the dealer can fix.
Sound deadener is a great upgrade. I buy it online and cut it out myself, which saves a good bit of money. The first truck I used this...
If your mud flaps fit most Tacoma models, then they will not fit on the Trailhunter/Pro. Some mud flaps fit the Trailhunter and not the Pro, so this is confusing all the way around.
Yeah - most 4th gens seem to be fine.
I bet your idea about some bad top hats from Bilstein might be the cause of those failures. I have not seen any reports on here far a good while.
The top hat design of the Trailhunter and Pro are different than the rest of the trims, and as far as I know there have been no failures in either of the halo models.
