Yep - they push this stuff just to get clicks and for some reason people treat what they say as absolute truth. YouTube is cool in some ways, but that stuff is like a giant mind control machine for the stupid IMO.
Exactly what I was thinking @HBNARO. A simple test drive would have turned up most of the bs people whine about. Maybe they should actually drive one before laying down their money. One guy on another forum now hates his Limited because he is having trouble turning it into a rock crawler. Did he...
If you search YouTube for TRD Pro turning radius you find dozens of videos about how horrible it is. It is kind of funny how social media seems to drive what people think these days.
There is nothing horrible about my truck - I absolutely love it!
Wow - that sheet metal sound is a new one. I do hear my truck doing some unknown stuff after I shut it down or even just when I first open one of the doors. But never anything that would make you wonder wtf was going on.
It seems very strange to me how differently identical trucks sometimes...
That doesn't sound like any noise my hybrid has ever made. My truck doesn't make any loud noises after I shut it off.
If you can reproduce it for your dealer I would definitely take it in. It would probably also be a good idea to get that documented, even if you can't demonstrate it for your...
I don't normally monitor my fuel use very closely, but when I read fuel use threads on forums for all kinds of vehicles, there is one common thread. It is that winter blends definitely lower mpg, I think because they usually contain more ethanol. I bet you mileage returns to what you had when...
Disclaimer - this is from a quick internet search, but a Bronco has a 12 inch greater turning radius than a 4th gen. Tacoma turning circle of 40' and Bronco 42', so I don't see it as terrible, just larger than a lot of people expect.
Yeah - same here with 60k miles being about average for me. I will need to key a watch on that.
I wonder if all 4th gens have this problem, or if there is something different about your truck. They hybrids are heavy and with the same brakes as an SR (I assume) that could be a factor.
Yep - buyers taste change and car makers do their best to guess what will be in demand. As @SilverSurfer says, prices are high and interest is too, which has slowed sales on most brands. VW is trying to close plants in Europe and Stellantis is kind of in free fall, with sales down dramatically...
I guess it depends on what you drove before your Pro, since it seems pretty normal to me. Sure the turning radius is larger than I would prefer, but it turns tighter than my Tundra did.
I don't think it stands out as huge compared to other midsize trucks from what I have been able to...
Yeah, they do fit a TH, although they seem a little small for our tires IMO. I also don't like that gap where they meet the flairs. I actually tried to order some last weekend and two Toyota dealers (Sparks & Longo) both had PayPal problems and could not complete the sales. I decided to just...
Hey @Tacomonkey - thanks for the update. I guess the market for Pro accessories is just too small for aftermarket companies to bother with. Hell, it was too small for even Toyota to bother making some that fit our trucks. Pretty lame IMO.
I will keep looking and post if I ever find some that...
Hey - I just visited the ARK site today and they still don't mention having any mud flaps that fit the Pro. I also considered Rally Armour but @Tacomonkey said they didn't fit on his Pro, so I am still stuck on getting anything.
I also considered the Canadian flaps but I'm not sure they provide...
How many miles on your truck? Mine was in that range until 1,500 miles or so but has been improving since then. It has also improved since I started to use only Sport mode, which beats Eco mode mpg on my truck.
I agree - that is a really nice build. I think the extra gas is worth it for such a great camper setup, although you are right - it makes the limited range even worse.
Here is a link to some for sale here on the forum, and it has the part number too. Unless you are near Utah shipping might be expensive, but they are cheaper than new OEM from toyota.

These not only give you protection from stone chips on your rocker panels, but they clean up the appearance of the lower body and hide the pinch weld. They come on only the Pro trim as far as I know, but they would be a nice addition to any truck without steps or sliders.
OK - finally ready to order them, but I'm confused. Sparks has them in three versions: F1, R1, and P1.
Thought I needed one F1 and one R1 but another post said P1?
