  1. How far can 2024 Tacoma drive with the low fuel light on?

I don't think the range is going to bother me all that much, because I have never had much trouble with the range of my 2nd gen Tundra. My Tundra's 26.4 gallon tank @ 14 mpg combined makes for a range of 369 miles. The 4th gen hybrid's 18 gallon tank @ 22 mpg combined should give us about 396...
  2. How far can 2024 Tacoma drive with the low fuel light on?

My Tundra has a 26.4 gallon fuel tank and even when I drive it past when it says it is totally empty, the most I have ever been able to put in was about 20 gallons. I think Toyota is way conservative on their fuel estimates in all models, and that makes the Taco seem to have less range than it...
  3. Ordered my 1st ever Toyota - 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road Premium, and starting to worry 😬

I have to agree that puts you in a really bad place. Your truck works fine now but you will be waiting for it to break again for as long as you own it. IMO Toyota needs to either figure out what happened and fix it, or get you a new truck.
  4. Ordered my 1st ever Toyota - 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road Premium, and starting to worry 😬

@KRiMZoN Toyota owns the midsize segment and it has for years. YouTube videos saying that the new Taco is great bore people, who just want to hear negatives, even when they aren't true. To cancel your Taco based on YouTube garbage would be a big mistake IMO. I have owned many Toyotas, including...
  5. First i-Force Max Review - Questionable Power

Cool - glad you are liking your new hybrid and finding the power to be strong. People complain that Tacos are not fast in 0-60 when that is not what trucks are for. They are for hauling and doing work, not shutting down Teslas. :)
  6. First i-Force Max Review - Questionable Power

Good to hear from an owner who is in a position to know, not some Youtube yahoos. It is very hard to understand how a strong increase in hp and a huge increase in torque could not be noticed by these clowns. As we say in software, garbage in, garbage out. lol Thanks for the picture btw. That...
  7. Wonder why there are no color choices? Read this.

Everybody is playing that game these days, with almost any interesting color having an upcharge. Even on the $66k TRD Pro Terra cost $500 more. At least Toyota doesn't abuse us as much as some other car companies do. I guess that is something.
  8. First i-Force Max Review - Questionable Power

Good question. In theory if the engine is rated for regular there should not be any more power with premium. But that has not always been the case with turbo engines and I would love to see a comparison of that on a dyno. For now i will take @kjmcc''s word that there is a difference, since it...
  9. Wonder why there are no color choices? Read this.

Beautiful, and it is not black, white or gray!
  10. First i-Force Max Review - Questionable Power

Welcome to the Tacoma family @kjmcc and thanks for the image and quick review. My TRD Pro is scheduled to be built next week, so there is still some time until I get to try this beautiful new truck out. It is interesting to see how many new owners are getting a 4th gen Taco as their first...
  11. Toyota Sold 217 iForceMax (Hybrid) Tacomas Year-to-Date

Toyota only started to build hybrids in late April, so they are just hitting dealers now. I imagine they dragged their feet a bit on the halos to avoid having the kind of early production glitches they have had on some of the base trims.
  12. Find the 4Runner

I think I see it in a container with a red door, near the aft end of that pile of containers, about 1/3 of the way down from the starboard side? If I won something I hope it is a Terra TRD Pro.
  13. Wonder why there are no color choices? Read this.

Dealers want to stock the colors that sell and in my neighborhood almost all vehicles are grayscale, with just one Radiant Red Tundra and one blue Chrysler minivan. Of course that could also be because that is all people could find. A chicken and the egg kind of thing. Trying to right this...
  14. YOUR (honest) Pros & Cons of the 4th Gen?

Yeah - probably caused by the move to more and more aluminum body panels. I won't get my truck for a while yet and I will just have to see how much if bothers me. At 85-90 I would give it a pass but at 65-75 not so much. Update: I should have searched - like I always recommend to other people...
  15. YOUR (honest) Pros & Cons of the 4th Gen?

I see hood flutter mentioned often. Is that something only on some trucks, or do all 4th gen Tacos have that problem? If all 4th gens do that I would love to find a fix, because seeing a body panel dancing like an old Yugo is not something I would expect on such an expensive truck.
  16. YOUR (honest) Pros & Cons of the 4th Gen?

Toyota is very conservative with their fuel readings. I have run my Tundra down past when the light comes on, down to the needle below empty on the gauge and still had several gallons of gas in the tank.
  17. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro deliveries have begun it appears!

@sugammadex Excellent news - it is almost here. Love to see some pictures when you get it.
  18. YOUR (honest) Pros & Cons of the 4th Gen?

I thought that the trailer brake controller was integrated into the new Taco. I could be wrong or it could be only on some trims, not sure..
  19. First i-Force Max Review - Questionable Power

Truth! I could refute most of that list with cold facts, but why bother. If you let someone else do your thinking for you then you get what you deserve.
  20. First i-Force Max Review - Questionable Power

I saw a Youtube video yesterday titled "The New Tacomas are junk - but a Ranger instead". Right, buy a Ranger from Ford, whose CEO said last year they will be going out of business unless they can improve quality and stop bleeding warranty money. But 4th gen Tacos are junk produced by the...
