Thanks for that link @Liquidassets. Hopefully a new truck would not need buffed, but I do have a random orbital buffer. I just sold a black car this spring that I maintained for 30 years, and that will teach you how to keep your paint in top shape.
So is that the difference between pro and diy...
I have read that the ceramics detailers apply are somehow better than the ones we can apply, but I think that is marketing bs. For that much money I would go with some PPF in critical spots and skip the professional application. That is what I intend to do when I get my Taco.
@TalkingTaco444 Buying a Toyota has always been weird, and in different ways some of the years, but always more like a lottery than just buying something. I just went through that last year trying to find a manual Taco from multiple dealers, with no success.
In a few years the new will be off...
I plan to at least try switching mine on all the time and see how that goes, so it will be interesting to hear about your experience with that.
Have fun with that beauty!
@Wighty thanks for the quick review. When you drove it home was the seat suspension on or off? I have been wondering if people will use it on road as well as off.
I agree with @SnowmanJPS and would love to see some pictures of your truck. Pictures of delivered trucks are my Taco fix while I...
Thanks @Drakka01 that Sentry CT looks great and I agree that the canvas is a lot nicer than shiny vinyl. I think that is now at the top of my tonneau list.
The Toyota Vehicle Ordering Guide shows them as standard on TRD Off Road Premium (hybrid), TRD Pro and TRD Trailhunter. I don't understand why any of those three would not have a moonroof.
I like the Retrax Pro and the Truxedo Sentry. The Sentry has a slight edge for me because I have had multiple Truxedo tonneaus and they have been very durable. I also like it not taking up any space in the bed.
@Drakka01 Looking forward to seeing the Sentry on your Taco and hearing what you...
That is how I feel too. I don't think we will have a better idea about these seats until either we own a Pro or we see more owner's reviews.
I have a four door Tundra and I can count on one hand the number of times I have had back seat passengers, so that is not a big deal for me. No midsize...
Yeah - the IsoDynamic seats lose power recline. I guess there is just not enough room in them to keep that feature. Another reason why making them optional would be a plus.
Yeah - I get that. It would be nice to custom tailor you Taco to just what you want. I don't see Toyota changing this unless the seats hold back sales of the Pro though. Making those seats optional on other trims is a great idea and that could happen in the future.
I would make my dream Pro an...
So, I see lots of hate for these seats. I might have passed on them also if that was an option. I guess that could change in the future because although the Pro is optimized for high speed off roading, it should do just fine as a rock crawler too.
But what makes you not like the seats? The...
@realdealy37 Congrats - that is a beautiful truck!
Of course everyone was looking at it, mainly because it is one of the best looking trucks I have ever seen..
@entropy My Terra Pro should be built in about three weeks and I just found out that it will be getting those same tailgate letters.
So I have been wondering how they would look, since I had only seen aftermarket TRD Pro letters until I saw yours.
I really, really like them now that I see how...
This kind of sloppy build quality is not normal for Toyota product at any price point from my experience. My list of things to look at when my truck arrives is getting longer and longer!
It would be interesting to see if uneven panel gaps are more common in trucks from the new Baja plant than...
Wow - these halos are finally arriving and looking as cool as I expected.
Over the next few weeks we should start to see more delivered truck photos and then we can look forward to owner's impressions. This is going to be fun!
I can see lemon lawing it and then waiting a bit, if you can, while Toyota practices making these cool trucks. Maybe they have this and other early issues sorted out, and maybe not.
There have been more issues with the 4th gen than I expected and I'm just hoping they have some of them figured...
@M40A1 Thanks for the update.
That is one nasty weld where the plug insert is welded into the rear diff cover, even if that is not the cause of the leak. That is not something I would expect to see in a Toyota truck.
I look forward to hearing that it is finally fixed. Are you still able to...
