Ah, gotcha, had no clue that the OR Hybrid and OR had different size wheels. So stock on the OR Hybrid is also 265/70R18? Would definitely make sense, I was confused as I had thought OP had put larger tires on the stock wheels and just listed the wheel size incorrectly as it appeared to be an OR.
Yeah, all these sizes are confusing.
265/70R18 (TH / Pro Stock) and 285/70R17 is 32.6-7" diameter
265/70R17 (TRD OR Stock) and 265/65R18 (Sport / Limited Stock) is 31.6" diameter
Lot of people that run 17s (stock or aftermarket) have been going with the 285/70 section tires because they fit...
Not sure. My original theory was that maybe they reused the part from the 3rd gen, since I'm pretty sure that one came with a 4x4 badge. But I'm not sure if the Toyota emblem was the same size.
I noticed the same as well. Wonder if it has to do with the fact that the Hybrid limited is AWD rather than 4x4, and they just figured not to stick the [4x4] badge on the gas only model to simplify their build process.....
With that being said, if anyone needs a blackout overlay for the 4x4...
Been going down the rabbit hole quite a bit with this as I'm certain this camera system can be added on, even if not installed from the factory. I've started to see some Trailhunters equipped with this option from the factory ($1500 option) and it seems to now be available on the configurator as...
That piece isn't plastic. It's the actual steel receiver tube. Mine looks identical.
My guess is based on your post the issue is with the hitch itself. As I stated, I've had no issues with multiple different 2" hitches.
If you're hauling frequently, just use this as an opportunity to buy a...
I will say the DTE tends to read more aggressive when averaging a lower fuel economy, for whatever reason. Specifically while towing.
Normally it would go down to near-zero and still fill up on just over 16 gal, when I was averaging around 20 mpg.
But when towing (averaging around 14mpg) I...
I've been regularly towing with my limited and have had no issues with various 2" hitches (my standard aluminum one as well as my WD hitch).
I just looked on my truck and I don't have any sort of "plastic" insert around the opening of the receiver. Are you able to just remove the plastic? Maybe...
If it's the accessory blackout package I believe they're just adhesive plastic overlays. It should be chrome underneath.
Try a heatgun and see if you can pry the overlay off slowly. The front emblem should be easier than the limited badge on the side. I agree that the black Toyota badge looks...
Eh, I think it's all circumstantial. Is the truck working hard, pretty much boosting all the time to stay at speed? If not, I'd think regular is fine.
Once you're at speed, at a level altitude, the truck (and trailer/gear/etc) is mostly fighting drag. Obviously up grades you're fighting...
They're all rated for 87 AKI. It's the same engine (as their AT SR5 and up counterparts), just with the addition of the hybrid motor/generator/battery.
Needless to say, I do plan to run 91/93 on longer trips when towing - especially if there are grades involved. The truck is pretty much in...
Yeah, figured it won't be as strong without the support. Doubt I'll be doing any serious wheeling where that'll be a concern. Just want protection from the elements (mud, salt, etc) below, as the stock piece of fabric is worthless aside from mitigating some road noise. With that being said, when...
I'll wait for some competition on this part as I'm sure other fabs will start making something comparable.
$300 is a bit steep for a what more or less is a bar of steel with 6 holes. I get it that there is some engineering effort that goes into designing these, but I think they're gouging a...
