I'm on the list as well. However, just made it over 1300 miles towing my camper, crossing the continental divide at roughly 20lbs under the GVWR of my truck. Chicago -> Moab. No issues thus far, hoping the return trip will be uneventful as well.
If the transmission made it going west through...
I feel like the hybrid is definitely optimal for doing a lot of steep grades. Since you can regen on the way down.
Out of curiosity, do you feel like when you let off the pedal at all that you get any regen breaking down hills? On my fiances PHEV (a Lexus) I don't really notice a ton of...
Hah. I feel that as I aged, I just keep driving slower and slower. I still have an older Valentine1 I've been meaning to sell. Never even bothered to wire it up in my GT4 after I sold my R35.
If you get the SES kit it comes with 2x spacers. I believe they're 0.5" thick. So if you install both spacers it'll make up for the added lift from the rear suspension lift spacers.
Honestly so far so good on the Timbren setup.
With the truck loaded with gear, it sits with about .25-.5" of clearance. That was with approximately 825lbs of cargo, gear, myself, & aftermarket stuff. Decided to run it on the scale just to verify everything as I'll be adding another 500lbs of...
Technically people can profit off of it if they want to. I honestly don't care, lol. It's free here for those that want to print it, that's all that matters.
Yeah, nylon is great, pretty much any high-temp material will do fine, such as nylon, ABS, PETG. Even PC would work.

It is. Just selling a couple extras I made on eBay to support my filament addiction, plus some of the money goes to charity. I think after charity, shipping, and eBay fees I net like $6, lol.
I was letting them go for $10 on the forum for people that messaged me, not trying to turn this...
Not only is it the same manufacturer but I believe an identical transmission.
Aisin has been making trannys for Toyota for a long time.
Given the sporadic nature of these failures, along with the TSB for debris, I wonder if this is a redux of the V35A engine failures, transmission edition...
Trailhunter GVWR is actually actually quite high. In fact, it's the highest out of all the trims - 3100kg or 6835lbs.
Ironically, it has one of the lowest payloads - 1475 with a 5' bed or 1435 with a 6' bed. Probably due to all of the steel components that ship with the truck, like the ARB...
That's *technically* not the payload. The payload is the GVWR - curb weight. Payload can even be affected by unsprung weight.
The magic number you essentially shouldn't exceed is GVWR. Only way you can figure out your true payload is by weighing your truck, and subtracting that from the GVWR...
Honestly I was pretty close on going the Diode Dynamics route, or even some other lightbar - main reason I ended up with the Heretic was because I managed to scoop it up for only $260 off eBay.
I do agree with @Baltimore though - I think it would have been a much better choice for Rave to...
Honestly, most high-heat materials will require an enclosure, though it's not impossible to print them without one. It's just tough as most of the time you'll end up with warped prints.
Nonetheless, have a couple extras I printed if you need a cam bracket in ABS, if you want one just feel free...
All wired up.
For the harness, I modified an 18" 7-pin extension that I purchased off Amazon. I cut it a bit shorter, maybe to about 6 inches or so, and then spliced two lines into the reverse (red) and ground (white). Pretty sure these aren't standard colors, but whatever.
I like to use...
Honestly the heavy-duty option and regular option seem to be the same rubber springs with just a slightly different profile on the brackets. I'm fairly certain you could achieve close to the same result with the SES kit and just using the included spacers.
Could have been a large stone or debris on the road flung by a vehicle/truck ahead of you. While rare, with the right trajectory, it's possible for it to hit & land on the sunroof, and has happened to others.
Typically most sunroofs are just made with tempered glass, unlike windshields, which...
