So brought the truck in for its Toyota Care service today. Was gonna pay for the oil change since they don’t do it till it hits 10k but they wanted $125 for an oil change.
anyway…. Showed them the video and how to repeat the hood issue. They told me there is nothing they can do and they...
So it seems to come up with just the upcoming turns automatically. Have never seen this before I brought it in for service. No map like in the video though.
It was in the center. I had the center set for “blank”. When I left the dealer I looked down half way home and saw the map. After I hit escape it went back to blank and when I went into settings, blank was still selected.
Funny, I left the dealer and noticed that the map was displaying in my gauge cluster. I hit the escape button now. I can’t figure out how to turn it back on. There is no map option in that far left menu as displayed in that video.
Yeah that annoyed me about the Cali Raised dial function light bar I have. I was going to use the AUX wiring to avoid any aftermarket battery connections but I wanted to save as many switch locations as I could.
Hmmm. Next step is to see if there is the switch wiring in the dash. But then again if it has power for the cig adaptor in the back then I am guessing it has either ign power or bat power. Gonna need some more investigation.
So I was installing my RC wheel liners and decided to take a peak for a location to install a compressor. I noticed this large gauge cable feeding the rear cubby in the bed. There is only a 7.5a fuse on this pencil thick cable. I am think this is the same cable they use on the Trailhunter for...
I found it annoying that the switches I use are down by my left knee and the one I never use (trailer) are in the center console.
tacomabob.com came out with these awesome extension cables to relocate switches.
The switches are keyed so the $2.50/hr people that build these things always put...
Well in this case it’s what the service manager said and what Google said. But I’ll look in the papers provided by the dealer as well. Google was a tad more convenient when I posted that comment.
Had my truck 2 months. Only about 400 miles on it. Get both an email and a phone call for my Toyotacare maintenance. Me: well it’s only 2 months old with 400 miles but I guess it’s a best practice to get that 500 miles oil change. Dealer: oh you don’t get an oil change until 1 year or 10000...
