The sensor mounts are not sonic welded. They are one-time use 3M adhesive. You just need to order the correct sensor mount for the back of the trim. it even has a diagram on the trim on how to mount the sensor clip.I also got a black limited. Hated the chrome and bought oem mirror covers in black, a new trailhunter style grille, and when I got my front door windows tint matched, I had them vinyl wrap the door handles and tailgate trim in black. Only bit of chrome left is the wheels (eventually will be gone), and the lower bumper trim. I bought an oem bumper trim piece in gloss black when I bought the mirror caps, but never installed it due to the sensor mounts needing to be sonic-welded. With this being the only chrome on the truck, minus wheels, it doesn't look bad, and I'm satisfied with it still being on the truck, for now.
I had ordered the flat black and had it painted to match the body color in order to get rid of the chrome on mine.
