I want to get bigger tires. Already did 2" lift. I currently have the stock 17" TRD OR wheels and tires. I'm stuck between going to 285/70/17 and keeping stock wheels (for now), or get a set of TRD pro 18s and go either stock 32.6 tire or even step up slightly to 275-70-18.
I know gas mileage will take a slight hit. But I don't want to totally wreck it. And I'm looking for good drivability on road but also great capability of road (not really anything like rock crawling). The 33" tires for the 17s seem to be a bit heavier than those for the 18s, even in SL.
Then again, if I lose 2 mph going to 33s on 17s, that's still a lot of time driving before I lose the amount of money it would cost to purchase new 18" wheels lol.
What are everyone's thoughts or experiences?
Thank you!
