I'm wondering how 285 75 r17s or 295 70 r17s work on the stock wheels as well. It seems like most people change out their wheels with new tires, but I quite like the factory wheels and see no reason to change them if I don't have to. If anything I can always fall back to the 285 70 r17s but I'm always curious I big I can go on a stock setup.

I also have images on a thread here. I will find it and attach. Anyway, the Mickey Thompson tires are great, I highly recommend. I do have a 3 inch lift in the front with 1 inch in the rear leveling kit

I've heard that 11.5-12.5 are sketchy on OEM wheels because they are only 7" wide and most tires that size need an 8ish inch wide wheel.

Mickey Thompson 255/85r17 are compatible with 6.5 to 8 inch wide rims according to their website. Also no rubbing.

You can't go wider than a 10.5 inch tire without a different rim or adding spacers.
This is not accurate. I am running 285/75R17 KO3s (11.3" wide per BFG) on the factory TRD OR wheels and they fit fine / no rubbing. I am now at 1" lift but they fit ok without.

And to the OP. These are 33.8" tall per BFG. I am very happy with this size on the factory wheels and strongly recommend considering them if you dont want to go to different wheels.

Oh wow, completely flexed out and no rubbing without a lift? Interesting; do you have the SDM option? I've been looking at this size over the 285 /70 r17 but have been nervous about rubbing when turning while flexed, especially with the stock wheels (which almost no one seems to keep after a tire upgrade). However if it works for you like this.... I see a KO3 in that size in my future.

I have 285/75R17 inch tall Nitto Ridge grapplers on my 24 trd off-road with the sway bar disconnect on stock wheels and fully flexed I get no rub. I do have a 1.5 inch front and rear lift from all dogs off-road though.
