Has the dealership done any recalls on your truck?
Also post a pic of your bull bar - curious to see what it looks like in regards to the radar sensor.
That was the first thing I checked after installing it was that front sensor that is for pre collision and adaptive cruise control and did not affect it. And no recalls on my vehicle.

The problem obviously stems from the install. So I'm thinking it could be a couple things.

Simple:
  1. somebody didn't plug something back up when they did the install. Check all your connections around the engine bay.

Complex:
  1. The radar sensor is detecting that part of the bull bar right above the top of the sensor and is throwing errors. Not sure what the beam pattern looks like, and if it's got a wide vertical "throw" it may sense it there.
  2. The added weight of the bull bar is pulling the front of the truck down, changing all the angles of the sensors - thus all the errors. Would require a recalibration.

Orrr, could be something completely different and off the wall.

Guess I didn't read that part.

May not be related to the bull bar at all. Did the dealership actually pull the code? Just looking at the dash doesn't tell you anything.

Any issue seems to spam every message that the truck can conceive.

Got my truck back. They stated that the head tech looked at it and determined that it was thr bull bar and it set off the grill shutter malfunction and that set off everything else. Its fixed now. Hopefully no more issues.

Sounds like your dealer did something wrong or didn't plug something back in. Having replaced my own grille shutter assembly after it broke, there's no way that I can see that that bull bar would affect it.

Toyota does not appear to have implemented error specific warning messages. When pretty much anything happens the trucks display everything they've got, which tells you nothing as you said in an earlier post.

If I did that in the software I write, I would probably get fired for incompetence. Seems like just another day in the office for a Toyota software dev. Do they test or review the garbage they produce or just wing it?
