Already need a new clutch for 2021 Tacoma TRD Sprt?? 46K miles?!?

I have driven a manual transmission for most of my life and have never needed a new clutch. I do most of my driving in the suburbs and go up the Colorado Rockies as often as I can, which is still never often enough. Do you all believe this is normal wear and tear already? Thank you for the input!

@gratefuljamfan No, this is not normal clutch wear for a Toyota. I have driven mostly manuals for most of my life. I have never had to change a clutch in any of my Toyota products, so something is wrong here. Have you talked to your dealer yet?

The dealer told me it looked like normal wear and found nothing else. I am the only driver and I feel like I’m getting screwed out of thousands of dollars… :(

A different dealer will, I hope, agree that’s a fair item for warranty replacement.

Clutch discs are considered a wear item,so not a warranty item,but they should last a lot longer than that. I have 234k on the clutch in my 2014.

Understood; most of my cars have been manuals, including my daily (I’m almost 60). Most miles I’ve had on an original clutch (1 owner) was a bit less than 200K on a 5-speed Honda. WOW you’re doing GREAT at well over 200 on your 2014! Gimme some driving lessons!
