Android Auto wireless option disappeared?

I have had issues with bluetooth/AA intermittently disconnecting pretty often, but most of those I could resolve by re-pairing my phone, restarting the head unit, etc. This is a new one.

Started the truck up this morning and it didn't automatically connect. Ok, happens, I'll go in the settings and hit the android auto slider....except it isn't there anymore lol. Usually it would be right under the "Use for media" option.

Tried everything I could think of so far - forget both devices from eachother and pair them again, did that twice both with the truck initiating it and the phone. Tried removing the android auto app and then updating it over again. I don' think I'm paring it in any different way from the many times I've done it and had it work.

Any ideas?

If you turn off the sliders for phone & media, does the Android Auto slider appear? Just guessing - so far haven't had mine disappear like that!

Nah it doesn't. I did get it to appear briefly when I plugged the phone in via USB, but it went away as soon as I unplugged it lol

I believe a new android auto update just came out. I'm curious if it's not playing nice with your truck.

I don't recall if the option disappeared or not but I did have an incident where I had to connect by USB to pair the phone and get the app to connect. There was a message on the screen that told me to use the USB port. After the app got set up again, I was able to unplug and use it wirelessly.

Happened to me a few times, all I did was restart the radio head and restart phone, worked fine after.

Happened to me yesterday as well. The option did disappear, but after resetting with USB connection, the BT option came back and has worked so far (fingers crossed).

I tried this and the slider would pop up while it was plugged in, but would disappear as soon as I unplugged it. Felt like a twilight zone episode lol

I found a thread on reddit from someone with a Corolla that had attributed all of their problems to their digital key, so I tried disabling it and that seems to have worked. Connected right away when I got in this morning so fingers crossed
