I got my Ark Mids a couple of days ago and installed them. I'm usually not a fan of mud flaps and only had them installed on my lifted brodozer with 35s for legal reasons, but I actually like the look of these! They seem effective enough and I like that when you purchase them you're supporting a small business.
I did get a little confused with the install instructions. I'm not a mechanic, but I have done everything from suspension to brakes to timing jobs, so I'm not completely inept. However, Ark instructs you to "leave the female factory grommets in place". Well my truck didn't come with OEM flaps and I don't usually install them so I had no idea what these were. Eventually I figured it out, but for those of you who don't know what they are I put a picture below - you mount the flaps by screwing the hardware directly into these. And if you break one they are only 99 cents from Toyota. Here is the part # 90189-06236.
Wheels are Toyota Trailhunter with + 20mm offset. Tires are Yokohama Geolandandar A/T4 275/70R18.
