So we have been wrenching on my Daughters SR lately. Although the tunes are actually not that bad, even though ppl say the non JBL suck, they actually don't. We decided to add the Alpine kit and the BeatSonic 3T3 (internal harness grounded). The amp shipped separately and was literally 1 day ship. It took us 10 minutes to install and only 1 down side where they say to install on the left or right everything is insulated so we used some foam rubber blocks and it placed perfectly. We set the gains at 11oc and all I can say is wow! She is in love it jumped the music up tremendously and the full amount gain is not even close to being utilized. As soon as the Alpine kit arrives we will install but I will say this think kicks AZZ well worth it. Side note if you add a sub later which we were you can access the amp from the false speaker cover dash center!

This thing is no joke for great tunes

It's more of a bandaid solution versus an actual fix. I'm sure if all you're wanting is "louder" then it works great and kudos to you.

If you're looking to actually fix the system so that it performs louder and has clarity, you'll need an actual amplifier replacement as well as speaker upgrades.

Well don't you piss on people's legs. If you read the post it states we're waiting on the Alpine kit. And for true RMS amplified watts integrated amps into the factory head unit are perfect.

There is nothing to "fix". If we felt so we would of removed the head unit, added a 18", 2 amps, 1 12" sub, Memphis processor, high mids and lows with an eq.

My sons is the ENA. Mine and my Daughters is the ENX with DSP. Our 4 runner has a Memphis processor, no sub,and 8 spkers.

Relax buddy it's Easter. šŸ˜‚

The ā€œnon-amplifiedā€ moniker in the non JBL system is a misnomer. The amplifier for either system is under the drivers seat. What you have is a line-driver. Sure, it has minimal EQ functionality, but it’s still a line-driver. My question is, if you know how a LD works, how much leeway do you think Toyota engineered into their audio systems before you start to do damage to the stock equipment? If you think I’m wrong, think about this, why would anyone amplify an amplified system? You’re begging for distortion and damage if done for extended time. Heat and clipping are the enemy of any amplifier, stock or not.

Nice, but be careful. At 78 my hearing aids cost 7K and I don't listen to music with vocals much any more. I miss it. (Not wanting to piss on anybody's leg, just sayin')
