Have a 2024 TRD OR with the OEM Bilstein shocks. Three of the four shocks are leaking (both rear & passenger front). This is a warranty item so Toyota will take care of it. My truck is 14 months with 20K miles, all pavement mostly highway.

My question is has anyone else experienced these shocks leaking? Cannot believe that only my truck has defective shocks, especially when 3 of the 4 went bad.

Cannot find anything on the Internet, and both the service advisor and the tech had not seen this before.

Sorry this happened, but I'm glad they're taking care of it. I'll be interested to hear more about this.

Damn wtf, I was worried about my poverty spec shocks after slamming them through like 10 miles of washboard but they're fine lol (60 miles total of offroading in 15,000 miles)

Wonder if there will be a part revision for the TRD shocks, I was considering a set in the future around 50-60k miles.

I got a set of 5100s OTD for $505.
Almost took a free set of TRD OR shocks. I think if you can get a good deal (free being the best deal lol) they are worth it. Shock surplus kinda steered me in that direction, but people complaining about the second stage of dampening feeling like bottoming out + this blind budget shock test video + ability to level 1"-1.4" on Bilsteins (as far as I'll go on my truck anyways) sealed the deal on 5100s for my SR5.

When I had my rusty 06 TRD Sport I had the blown out 5100s replaced with non blown out 5100s and they felt pretty good.

You can use 5100s at stock ride height right and factory springs? That's probably what I'd do.

They suggest factory springs! And yes I believe you can stay factory height. I would assume not using any circlip settings is factory height, but can also lift in the attached increments.

For me I'm not sure if I would warranty the TRD shocks if they took a s#*t like OPs. Not worth the time/hassle with the dealer and the chance of it happening again when there are other better options for relatively cheap (not just 5100s).

BUT I get wanting to keep factory warranty intact and not spending money you shouldn't have to spend on a new vehicle. This is definitely BS and should not happen on such a new vehicle that is marketed as an Off Road rig. Glad they are taking care of OP.

I'm at 23k miles with no signs of leaking. I'll keep an eye on them.
