I recently spent a couple nights traveling a 60-mile ridgeline trail that straddles the rugged Idaho/Montana border. The trail turned out to be a bit rougher than I was anticipating, based on reviews on onX OffRoad. Had to put the truck into 4LO to get up a steep two-track trail to a mountaintop, typically only accessed by side-by-sides. But we made it and had sweeping 360-degree views.

We will definitely be back to this location; I'm thinking a nice fall trip when the mountains get a dusting of snow will be amazing :)

Living in NJ this is the stuff of my dreams.
I recently saw this elevation map of the US (might be exaggerated?) that made me appreciate living out in the west just that much more.

Yup......rub it in:like:

Probably a little exaggerated but drives home my point!
Have to agree to your point! I get soooo excited seeing exposed rock when I'm up in the UP then I see the views of the trip or even the map and it is insane how different it is in the western half of the country.
