Good news for the hybrid Tacoma crowd — COBB has now received CARB approval for the i-FORCE MAX platform, which means Accessport tuning is now available for customers in all 50 states.
That also means I can now support California customers with the same CAMTuning process I’ve been using on the rest of the 4th-gen Tacoma platform.
For anyone newer to what I do, CAMTuning is fully remote. You do not need to bring the truck to me.
The Accessport is available directly through my site packaged with either of my two tuning options:
Reflash
This is the lower-cost option for a relatively standard setup. I send the calibration, you install it through the COBB Accessport, then you send me a datalog. I personally perform an in-depth review of that log to make sure fueling, boost, knock behavior, torque control and the rest of the calibration are operating as expected.
Custom Tune
This is the full revision-based process. I build the calibration around your truck, fuel and modifications, review your logs, and make revisions until the calibration is where it needs to be.
My normal process is:
No emissions systems or factory safeguards are disabled.
If you already have an Accessport, tuning can be purchased separately. If you need both, the Accessport + Reflash and Accessport + Custom Tune packages are both available directly on my site.
For the hybrid Tacoma owners who have been waiting specifically because of California/CARB eligibility, this is a big step forward.
