has anyone tried an MTS selector swap into a non TRD OR?

Coworker and I both have lower trim toyota's than the TRD OR and were curious if you could swap the MTS Control knob into the lower trims and it actually work. Not sure i want to spend $150 to test yet, but if it would work i feel like it would nice to have off road for the crawl control functionality.

I'm pretty sure someone posted it here before, it shows on the dash but you don't actually get the functionality of the features

Doesn't work. I tried it when someone here reported it working. Did nothing at all my my TRD Sport.
