My 1st vehicle to have a HUD, I could take it or leave it.
Mines always goes down and I did take to the dealer. They took it apart and still the same issues. Not sure what to do with it. The thing about using sunglass is they do sell sun glass with horizontal polarized from what I hear. Take off your sun glass and tilt it 90 degree to left or right and look. It will look perfectly fine. BMW or Porsche sell a sunglass with this spec.
