2024 Tacoma HEADS UP display - how do you like yours? Screenshot 2025-08-07 141607

Interestingly enough, I just checked Toyota's site and it indicates the HUD is not available for any Tacoma trim levels. Remnants of the chip shortage still haunting us? I have a HUD on my '24 Pro and love it. I'd be a ticked if I didn't get one. Some memory seats, power folding side mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers would've been nice too. :like:

I liked my hud on my 24 pro but when they couldn’t find the vibration in it they bought it back and put me in a 25 but while I was trying to pick a color I did look at a mud bath 25 in late January and it did have the hud but I chose black and by the time I received it at the end of march mine did not have the hud I was disappointed to say the least

I saw a 2025 Mudbath Pro video in Mexico with HUD, so it must be available still down there.

My dealer just got 3 Pro's in this month and they all have it, I just checked
It's strange their website says they're not available for any Tacoma trim. Luck of the draw I suppose! But also... ???

Has anyone had issues getting their HUD display position/brightness staying where you set it? I've raised mine up several times, and after multiple trips - it seems to reset itself back down to the lowest setting and I have to reset it again. Same with some of the customized gauge displays (i.e.: tire pressure, etc). I even showed the service advisor at my dealership last time I took it in, and he basically shrugged his shoulders. It's starting to actually piss me off.

Every so often my HUD drops back down, but not frequently enough for me to count the duration of time it number of starts or duration turned off to hunt a pattern. At least I can set it again while driving, so annoying but minor. More annoying is AA not sending nav through to it.

The only gauge that will not permanent stick for me is TPMS. That one is annoying as F...

I've seen this discussed on this forum before. Specifically the TPMS gauge in the instrument cluster. A lot of people report they cannot get it to stay. I remember there was one guy who said he got it to stick by having a specific combo of gauges. Do some looking around here. Definitely a software issue that Toyota could push an over-the-air update for, but alas.

I knew some of the models had a HUD. Had one on my Camry and it was a nice feature, not make or break. I assumed my 25' TrailHunter had it because the 24' THs have it. It does not.

Mine seems to reset after I've remote started the truck thru the app.

As far as the other custom settings on the gauges, it seems the TPMS is the only one that doesn't stick - all the others stay put. But the TPMS always ends up flipping back to trip/odo
