is there any reason KMC wheels are "not as good" as Methods? or only aesthetics.

Its mostly an aesthetics thing. KMC wheels are an equally good quality wheel. Both offer cast, flow formed and forged options. Method seems to be a more popular name in the industry but KMCs have always worked great for me. Never had any quality or reliability issues.

Both brands are good. I've been a Method fanboy for a long time, and have ran a few sets of their wheels.

You'll see more Method wheels out and about, if that's a thing you care about.
