So far so good. No complaints. Since it’s way up there above the spare tire mount it should be good.

I have driven through huge puddles and did cake the truck a few times with thick mud. All I did was rinse the entire under carriage including the compressor and all was good. The wiring for the compressor is great against water. My concern with mounting under the rear seat was the heated air the unit puts out and since it pulls in atmospheric air it will recirculate hot air therefore probably getting hot sooner then later. Specially since most of the time help others inflate. To avoid this I would have to keep the seat open when in used but most of the time I have kids in there which is somewhat inconvenient. This was just my thoughts on it, maybe Im just overthinking it.Have you hit any mud or water? Lol I hit a few puddles yesterday and my entire frame is coated in mud. And that was just hitting Maple Spring Rd in SoCal. I just picked up an ARB Twin Compressor and i'm trying to figure out the best place to mount while keeping dust and water and stuff away from it and for the driving I do seems like the best place might be behind the rear seats. Hoping someone comes out with a better mounting option soon.
Yea all absolutely logical concerns to have. I'm totally overthinking it too lol. Trying to find a balance between budget and practicality on my end. I may end up giving up and just mounting it inside the engine bay mainly for ease of maintenance. Just hate having to open my hood every time I want to air up, which really isn't a huge issue, just worried about the compressor handling the heat with the new turbo engine.I have driven through huge puddles and did cake the truck a few times with thick mud. My buddy has it in his 3rd gen and it’s still going strong. I noticed when we finish a trail and he pops the hood to connect the air hose that thing is hot even before he turns it on because of the engine heat. It wouldn’t be that much of an issue in cold states but here in cali where I’m from it’s hot most of the year. One little small downside is if you having to pop the hood in a rainy day. But again we don’t get too much rain out here.Yea all absolutely logical concerns to have. I'm totally overthinking it too lol. Trying to find a balance between budget and practicality on my end.
