Hi all,

I feel like the JBL system in my truck really isn’t producing much in the high range and I’d like to do something about it. I’m not interested in doing a complete gut and replace.

Has anyone replaced just the tweeters with something higher quality and higher sensitivity with good results? Or is the system’s digital tuning going to make that pointless?

After installing the Beat Sonic ENA 3T3, my experience is much better. I will say I find it lacking in the lower range so i'm looking at installing their power seat subwoofer adapter so i can have two underseat subs. Have you installed an amp to boost the power?

I 2nd this and did the same. Sounds way better with the Beatsonic. Maybe it took 15min to install the Beatsonic

The Beatsonic even allowed to add an amp and sub.

How is the sound quality in your truck now with the new added amp and sub? Can you share a link on where you brought all of the added amp, subs, and accessories to go along with it?

While I appreciate the input and the experiences with the BeatSonic piece...I feel like my question didn't really get addressed.

Has anyone been able to brighten up the audio by replacing the tweeters?

Maybe later down the road.

Has anyone replaced just the tweeters and what has been your experience?

The problem is no option here truly addresses the root issue. Replacing the tweeters is going to be complicated to match the correct impedence and RMS values. Even then if you do find something, the factory amplifier can only push so much power, which is the true issue.

The Beatsonic is nothing but a gimmick that just makes the system seem louder, at the risk of damaging the amplifier and speakers themselves.

You'll have to be the one to make your own decision, but realistically if you're wanting a system that actually sounds good, you need to upgrade the source, the amplifier, and then the speakers.

I tell people this same thing time and time again - no one will listen. For some reason people think they can just replace the speakers and it will magically sound better.

I was unfamiliar with the beatsonic until this thread... looking at it its contradicting-in one spot it says it just "improves the signal TO your factory amplifier".... and then later it calls the box an amplifier, putting out 50w per channel.... well crap, is it an amplifier or a signal processor?.... if its an amplifier, pumping 50w per channel INTO the factory line level inputs, yeah, it'll be louder, not better, and will cook something like you said.
