I'm looking to mount a jerry can sideways on a molle panel in the bed for permanent storage. I ran into a situation where my kid almost ran out of gas- down to single digits - because he just never looked at the gauge.
I am ok with spending on rotopax if that's the only option but I have heard they need a lot of care, hate big weather changes (they need to be "burped") and just seem overpriced.
The molle panel is just in the front of the bed under the bed rail. I have about 16 inches to work with, so a vertical jerry can mount isn't going to work.
I don't want to just bungie it in there either.
Any input? Help me help my family take the truck off road and not run out of gas.
