Hey folks! We've been hard at work developing a line of products for the fourth-gen Tacoma, and we're getting closer and closer to the finish line with our new intercooler. I wanted to pop in and share a few images I recently took and see what you all think, and in the coming weeks I'll be sharing some photos of the intercooler installed and our engineering report.

At the moment, the plan is to open up pre-sale orders in mid-July and officially release the intercooler in early September.

So, let's hear it! Share any thoughts, questions, comments, or concerns! Looking forward to seeing the responses.

very interested, what's the expected performance benefits vs. oem?
At a base level, it's overall much sturdier than stock thanks to a cast end tanks and a thicker bar-and-plate core.

From a performance standpoint, we found the 55% increase in core size and maximized airflow helped resist heat soak, allowing the truck to maintain consistent power during hard towing and off-roading. We also found some pretty significant temp reduction numbers at wide open throttle compared to stock.

Definitely stay tuned for the engineering report, which will offer a deeper dive into the nitty gritty bits of testing and design. I'll drop that in this thread as soon as it's good to go.

If I'm going that deep into the front end for this install, I'd be looking to add a high-capacity all-aluminum radiator to go along with it. I was looking at the Sxth element FMIC and was planning to message you about the ETA on a radiator. If I can get both on one invoice, count me in.
Silicone water hoses and boost pipes would also be on the wish list for a single invoice.
Please take my money.

Glad to see the official announcement on this!

Big thanks to @Mishimoto for the opportunity to get early hands-on experience with their new front mount intercooler for the Tacoma. We’ve had the chance to test and evaluate the unit, and we’ve been very pleased with the overall design, fitment, and performance.

We’ll leave the hard data to Mishimoto’s engineering team to share, but from our end, we can confirm that this intercooler does an excellent job at keeping charge air temps in check. Even on a completely stock truck, there’s noticeable benefit—especially for those who tow or carry heavy loads regularly.

We’re giving it a solid thumbs up and are looking forward to what’s next from the team.

Wow, really had to tag a lot of you for this response! Super awesome to see the level of interest for this.

Bottom line - yes, we're in the later stages of developing a transmission cooler for the 4th gen Tacoma. We're anticipating pre-sale in early fall and full launch shortly thereafter, but things are moving really smoothly with this one so we might be able to get things moving sooner. Stay tuned!

Hey @Andrace - The radiator and silicone hoses are a bit further out so the ETA is dependent on a few things, but it is on our docket at the moment. I'll keep you guys updated on developments as I hear them. The boost pipes, on the other hand, come with the intercooler if you buy the kit!
